Job Summary
TheNurse Practitioner (NP) will provide employees with occupational and environmental health services, as needed and as their scope of clinical licensure allows. The NP is a delegated authority, as assigned by the WorkCare Consulting Medical Director (CMD), for the necessary implementation of EHS policies and those of the onsite clinic, as interpreted by the CMD. This position supports the CMD in the clinic's day-to-day operations and provides a contact for other projects and / or organizations that interact with the clinic.
Schedule : Tuesday - Thursday; 24 hours per week; day shift -hours to vary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains frequent communication withConsultingMedical Director (CMD) and WorkCare Supervisorregardingall clinic issues and client requests.
Maintains medical records and Private Health Information following all applicable HIPAA laws,regulationsand guidelines.
Supports Medical Surveillance exams such as audiograms, vision tests, pulmonary function, respirator fit testing and DOT testing requirements, as needed for purposes of interpretation of test / exam results.andfeasiblewith available orprocuredequipment, in line with the scope of practice and as supported by the CMD.
Provides first aid, medical treatment andappropriate follow-upsfor work-related injuries and / or illnesses as time allows beyond medical surveillance needs.
Provides emergency medical response, as needed.
Performs effective case management follow-up for injuries / illness and absences.
Performs employee health screenings and surveillance programs, including new hire, fit-for-duty, return-to-work, medical surveillance, exit exams and substance abusescreenings,labdrawsand management of results.
Provides return-to-work clearance exams, asappropriate.
Computer data entry of all employee demographic and health information
May review work-related injury and illness management protocols annually and when regulations change.
Asappropriateassists in developing andmaintainingprograms for AED, medical surveillance, hearing conservation, health and wellness,ergonomicsand other implemented programs.
Develops andmaintainsrelationships with management, medical andsafety personnel,co-workersand WorkCare supervisors.
Providestimely,accuratereporting as dictated bythe client,WorkCare and by law.
Expedites injury information to management and insurance companies, as directed.
Providesadditionalservices, as directed by the WorkCare CMD or Director of Onsite Clinic Operations.
Utilizes theOHM system for record keeping.
Developing and conducting SAT training.
Gain first-hand familiarity with site conditions through systematic inspections of the workplace and observations of tasks involving potential exposure to physical,chemicaland biological hazards
Work with environmental health and safety departments to provide guidance in developing,implementingand managing workplace hazard control programs
Conduct work-site visits, consultations with other site-specific health and safety professionals andparticipatein key committees involving occupational health issues
Attend claim review meetings, whenrequested, with workers' compensation adjustors and health and safety staff asappropriate (NP or RN)
Develop occupational health goals (NP, in collaboration with RN / SAT Team, couldestablishOH goals)
Design andmonitormetrics to measure progress, providing periodic focus on the status of these metrics (NP, in collaboration with RN / SAT Team, couldestablishmetrics)
Qualifications
Educationand Experience
Current Unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Licensein the state of Californiarequired.
Certified by NCCPA.
Current DEA license.
Current ACLS / BLS certification.
Must havebachelor'sdegree with at least two years of PA or NP experience preferred.

Must be competent in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word,Exceland PowerPoint) and learn other software as needed.
Physical Demands
Requires sitting forlong periodsof time, working at a desk.
Some bending and stretching could berequired.
Working under stress anduseofcomputer / phonerequired.
Manual dexterityrequiredfor use ofcomputerkeyboard.
Occasionallymay berequiredto stand, walk, stoop, kneel and / or crouch.
May occasionally lift and / or move up to 15 pounds.
This position has an hourly pay range of $80 - $87 per hour.Final compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
