Private Equity Attorney (Boston)

Direct Counsel is seeking a Private Equity Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law 100 firm in Boston, MA . This position is part of the firm’s Professional Track Attorney program , offering attorneys the opportunity to work on high-profile client matters across cutting-edge practices, industries, and borders.

Summary

This role involves transactional work within the firm’s Private Equity practice , where the attorney will play a key role in M&A due diligence, leveraged buyout transactions, equity grants, and corporate governance matters . Strong performance in this role can lead to promotion opportunities and additional exposure to varied client engagements.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct due diligence for M&A transactions.
Support leveraged buyout transactions in all facets.
Advise clients on equity grants and corporate governance matters .
Analyze complex legal issues and apply legal principles to specific client matters.
Provide timely and well-reasoned work product under deadlines.
Maintain availability to meet client and firm expectations, including during evenings and weekends as needed.
Collaborate with partners, clients, and colleagues across various practice groups.

Qualifications

JD degree from an accredited law school.

Admission to the Massachusetts bar is required.

Minimum of 3 years of transactional law experience .

Experience at an Am Law 100 firm or with the SEC is preferred.

Work Environment & Compensation

Hybrid work model with in-office expectations.

Salary range : $151,315 - $378,685 per year , based on experience and geographic market.
