Travel Nurse RN - Oncology - $2,036 per week in Greensboro, NC

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Medical Surgical Oncology Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Hours Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Medical Surgical Oncology License : Valid Nursing License required Certifications : BLS Certification required Must-Have : - Experience in telemetry interpretation and monitoring - Medical Surgical Oncology experience required - Ability to float between assigned locations Description : We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology. The position is for night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week. Candidates will be expected to provide care to oncology patients from initial diagnosis through end of life. Experience with patients in acute pain crises, such as sickle cell disease, is preferred. The nurse will manage medical-surgical patients, including those with diabetes management, COPD, asthma, cellulitis, pneumonia, and abdominal pain. The patient ratios on the unit will range from 1 : 4 to 1 : 6. All travelers should be prepared for float assignments as needed. Candidates must be aware of and prepared to pass a pass / fail EKG exam during compliance. Chemo certification is not required for this position, as the nurse will not administer chemotherapy. The nursing team receives interdisciplinary support from various services, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
