Assistant Maintenance Manager for Refrigeration

TITLE : Assistant Refrigeration Manager

POSITION CLASSIFICATION : Exempt

DEPARTMENT : Maintenance

POSITION REPORT TO : Maintenance Manager / Ammonia Refrigeration

SUMMARY :

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, Ammonia / Refrigeration, the Assistant Manager works in the maintenance repair and preventative maintenance of all equipment assigned to this section. Specific duties include cleaning, installing, repairing, replacing insulation, filters, and other components of the assigned systems.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

• Trade school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years' experience assisting with related refrigeration equipment.
• Ability to use hand and shop tools used in the maintenance and repair of refrigerated systems.
• Proven experience in refrigeration system maintenance and repair, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong technical knowledge of various refrigeration systems, including industrial and commercial applications.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Ability to read and understand sketches and manufacturer's instructions.
