Electrical Pre-Apprentice

Gibson Electrical LLC is seeking motivated and hardworking individuals interested in starting their careers as an Electrician. This full-time Pre-Apprentice position is ideal for those not currently in an accredited apprenticeship program but looking to take the first step toward becoming a certified Journeyman Electrician.

As a Pre-Apprentice, you will work in a structured environment while gaining foundational knowledge in safety, tools, materials, equipment and the fundamentals of electrical construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Journeyman Electricians : Help with installations, repairs, and general electrical maintenance.
• Follow Safety Protocols : Learn and adhere to all safety guidelines on the job.
• Handle Tools & Equipment : Proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools.
• Learn Basic Electrical Concepts : Gain understanding of electrical systems, components, and circuitry.
• Perform Basic Tasks : Complete supervised entry-level tasks such as running wire and replacing fixtures.
• Read Blueprints : Develop the ability to interpret basic blueprints and schematics.
• Maintain Work Areas : Keep tools and materials organized and clean.
• Participate in Training : Attend workshops and training sessions to build knowledge and skills.
• Assist with Inspections : Help ensure work complies with electrical codes and standards.
• Communicate Effectively : Work closely with team members to report progress and address challenges.
