Services - Sales Associate
The Services Sales Associate position is a developmental role designed to build foundational sales skills within Storr's Services Division, while directly contributing to revenue growth and operational efficiency. Over an initial 12-18 month period, the associate will assist in day-to-day sales activity, manage small opportunities, support proposals and marketing content, and learn the full scope of Storr's service offerings-including Records Management, Commercial Moves, Cleaning, Construction Services, and Storage.
The initial emphasis of this role will be on developing new Records Management business-learning the sales process, customer needs, and operational coordination to grow this segment effectively. The Services Sales Associate will report directly to the Vice President of Services and is expected to advance into a Services Sales Representative position within approximately 12-18 months, based on performance and business needs.
Primary Duties
- Assist the Vice President of Services with sales execution, client communication, and proposal development.
- Manage smaller Records and service opportunities from inquiry through close.
- Create quotes, proposals, and bid responses for service opportunities.
- Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and follow-up activities.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to provide project content, case studies, and success stories that highlight Storr's service capabilities.
- Facilitate collaboration with the Furniture Sales team to identify cross-selling opportunities for Moves, Cleaning, Construction Services, Storage, and Records.
- Maintain CRM data accuracy, pipeline tracking, and timely customer follow-ups.
- Support organization of sales documentation, proposal libraries, and shared resources.
- Learn internal systems, workflows, and pricing structures for service-based sales.
- Achieve quarterly sales activity and accuracy goals.
Responsibilities
Meet with service clients or prospects to understand their needs and recommend solutions.Create and maintain accurate quotes, proposals, and CRM entries.Coordinate with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery for booked projects.Support product and service research to enhance proposals and customer recommendations.Assist in organizing client reviews, business updates, and marketing initiatives.Contribute to internal communication between Services, Marketing, and Furniture divisions.Complete assigned training milestones and maintain consistent progress toward Sales Representative readiness.Training and Career Development
The Services Sales Associate will participate in a 12-18 month development program focused on building skills in client engagement, service sales, CRM management, proposal creation, and cross-divisional collaboration. Upon successful completion, the associate will be eligible for promotion to a Services Sales Representative role and take on greater sales responsibility within the division.
Education and / or Experience
2-4 year degree from an accredited university, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.Prior sales or marketing experience preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.High initiative, organization, and attention to detail.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Professionalism, curiosity, and a desire to grow into a service sales career.
