Job Description :

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for reviewing Supplier Agreements, conducting thorough analysis of defects to determine if they are supplier-caused, and coordinating Supplier Corrective Action Requests to effectively address and resolve quality issues.

This role executes key supplier quality processes including SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Report), DFMAT (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly Technique), SAF (Supplier Approval Form), MSA (Measurement System Analysis), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plan, SPC (Statistical Process Control), PV&V (Process Validation and Verification), FAI (First Article Inspection), and SICR (Supplier Initiated Change Request).

The Supplier Quality Engineer also executes, monitors, and controls APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) processes for existing vendors when remediation of gaps is necessary. The role ensures Critical to Quality (CtQ) characteristics are clearly communicated to suppliers and rigorously maintained throughout the production process, securing consistent product quality.

Additionally, this position executes (PSW) Part Submission Warrant plans, deliverables, line releases, and completion—ensuring that all parts meet specified quality standards before approval for use. The Supplier Quality Engineer supports supplier improvement and development on APQP by providing guidance and resources to help suppliers enhance their quality processes and achieve compliance.

Minimum Education Required :

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Science, Industrial, Mechanical, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

Minimum Experience Required :

No prior experience required with a Bachelor’s degree; OR

Minimum 4 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Engineering.
