About the job

The Text Analytics and Natural Language Processing (NLP) R&D Team is looking for a Linguistic Developer to help us build and test world-class software and models. Our team works as a part of our Analytics, AI, and Machine Learning division to create innovative software and models to analyze natural language data across 33 languages. We are working on the cutting edge of today’s NLP, innovating with Large (and Small) Language Models, and leveraging various analysis and modeling techniques to overcome risks and ensure customer satisfaction. As a Linguistic Developer you will :

• Develop high-quality text analytics software and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions by designing, programming, testing, and documenting code.
• Research, prototype, implement, and validate high-end analytic models across multiple human languages utilizing supervised and unsupervised statistical modeling (machine learning), deep learning techniques, and symbolic AI techniques.
• Research, prototype, and innovate to select appropriate natural language processing (NLP) methods and computational algorithms.
• Work closely with technical support and testing groups and provides expertise in text analytics and computational linguistics.
• Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.
• Be encouraged to participate in open-source projects on behalf of SAS.
