Work Schedule
Scheduled on a per event basis, averaging 15 hours per week, up to 30 hours when assigned to a musical. Events are predominantly late afternoon and evening schedules.
Some weekends may be included.

Job Summary
Coordinates the use of audio production equipment and facilities for the Arnette Scott Ward Performing Arts Center. Provides audio support for music, theatre, and special events as needed.
Acts as the A1 mix engineer for complex events. Demonstrates a commitment to service excellence, innovation, student success, integrity, and diversity in the performance of job duties.
Essential Functions
60% - Provides live audio support to assigned academic programs. Coordinates and executes all
live sound setups including but not limited to speaker placement, microphone setups, audio
mixing, etc. Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of audio equipment in assigned areas.
20% - Provides work direction to students in the operation of the theatrical systems and
equipment; emphasis in live sound reinforcement, theatrical lighting, and projections /
multimedia for the stage. May coordinate theatrical production practicum labs.
10% - Assists other theatrical departments in meeting the needs of the Performing Arts Center.
5% - Assists the PAC Manager in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all users of
CGCC’s performing arts facilities. Enforces applicable health, safety policies and regulations as
established by the PAC Manager.
5% - Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Desired Qualifications
Please note that this position is not a recording engineer and will not normally do work with
multitrack recordings or DAWs.
1. Experience mixing a musical with 16-24 channels or mixing a jazz band with 8-16 channels.
2. Familiarity with QLab for audio playback and show automation.
Special Working Conditions
Night and weekend work may be required.
