Beecan Health is seeking a Vice President of Revenue Cycle to lead and optimize the revenue cycle processes across our organization.
Position Summary
The Vice President of Revenue Cycle is a key executive role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire revenue cycle process within the organization. The role ensures the effective management of billing, collections, and financial operations while developing and implementing strategies to maximize revenue, minimize financial risk, and ensure regulatory compliance. The VP leads a team of professionals, collaborates across departments, and drives improvements in financial performance and operational efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient intake, billing, collections, and accounts receivable.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance revenue cycle efficiency, reduce days in accounts receivable, and improve cash flow.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to all payer types, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.
- Supervise billing operations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer‑specific regulations.
- Implement best practices for billing and collections processes to optimize revenue recovery and minimize denials.
- Manage resolution of complex billing issues and payer disputes, working closely with payers and internal stakeholders.
- Review and analyze cash collections and aging trends for each facility, reporting on shortfalls and opportunities.
- Ensure AR systems are fully functional and meet needs by managing with the Information Systems Team and vendors.
- Act as liaison / resource for billing audits, internal audits and ADR requests.
- Lead, mentor, and train the revenue cycle team, including billing, coding, and collections staff.
- Evaluate team performance and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Assist with interview and hire process for business office and revenue cycle personnel.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to keep the organization compliant and competitive.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to revenue cycle management, billing practices, and financial operations.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Perform other related duties as required and as assigned by senior management.
- Adapt to changes in responsibilities and business needs as the role evolves.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 7‑10 years of experience in revenue cycle management, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.Extensive knowledge of revenue cycle management, billing procedures, and healthcare reimbursement processes.Ability to understand and implement healthcare reimbursement, billing and accounting principles.Ability to understand, control and track direct spending and labor budgets.Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Commitment to the Beecan mission and values.Ability to represent the Company and interact with others ethically and professionally.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent time management skills with proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and independent judgment.Salary : $200,000–$250,000 per year.
