Nashville Predators Legal Internship - Spring 2026
The Nashville Predators Legal Department is seeking interns for the Spring 2026 semester. These interns will assist with various aspects of the sports industry including, but not limited to, drafting contracts, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local laws, and researching contracts. We are looking for a very energetic and outgoing individual who has a positive, can-do attitude and has a strong desire to learn and be part of the Smashville culture. In addition to the duties and objectives listed below, students will receive the opportunity to gain exposure to different departments and entities within the Nashville Predators organization. The Nashville Predators intern program provides an educational, skill-building, hands-on experience for all participants, and a cornerstone of the program is the interns ability to earn college credit for participation in the program.
Candidates MUST be able to receive college credit for the completion of this internship. This is an unpaid internship where candidates must be enrolled as a law student in an academic institution and actively pursuing a juris doctorate. The Nashville Predators do not provide housing or transportation accommodations.
Legal Internship Responsibilities :
- Drafting contracts, including but not limited to employment and third-party agreements, facilities management contracts with an eye towards standardization of best outcomes in areas such as indemnification, insurance, and liability
- Reviewing and analyzing documents relating to the Nashville Predators ticket sales, arena and / or marketing and sponsorship functions
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, including but not limited to matters such as employment, intellectual property, immigration, and alcohol laws
- Researching and analyzing legal issues including contracts, real estate, intellectual property, employment and labor law issues, corporate strategy, structure, acquisitions, and other legal areas
- Performing contract management tasks and management of legal files
- Completing other Sports Education 101 projects and responsibilities for the Legal Department that may be assigned
Nashville Predators Legal Internship Requirements :
Spring semester internship duration will be approximately January-May 2026All internships are in person; no remote opportunities are available at this timeAbility to work evenings and weekends within the students designated credit hour requirement when necessaryAll interns must be students at accredited colleges and universities, with the ability to earn academic credit for time spent in an internship positionEnrolled as a law student in good standing at an accredited, academic institution and actively pursuing a juris doctorate, 2L or 3L student preferredMeet the academic credit compliance requirements of legal intern's law schoolPossess great communication skills, be professional and able to multi-taskStrong analytical and organizational skillsBe able to maintain confidential informationProficient in Microsoft Suite Office including Word, Excel and OutlookPrior legal experience or experience working for a team, athletic department, or with a sporting event is beneficialExcellent speaking and listening skills, requiring the perception of speechAbility to sit for extended periods of timeWalking, bending, and carrying of items up to 20 pounds including office supplies, laptop and other equipment or workInternships do not provide compensation, housing, or transportationInternships do not guarantee full-time positions with the Predators upon completionAs a condition of internship, qualified applicant will be subject to a background check, which will at a minimum include a criminal background check and if applicable, may include a driving history checkCandidates MUST be able to receive college credit for the completion of this internship.
