Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Sterling, IL! Starting on November 17th, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients through dedicated care and innovative therapy techniques. Your expertise will help patients recover and thrive in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments. If you’re passionate about making a difference and possess the skills to support diverse patient needs, we want to hear from you!

What you’ll do

  • Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Provide hands-on patient care, including trigger point therapy and rehabilitation exercises.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans that address the unique requirements of each patient.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises, techniques, and home health strategies to promote recovery.
  • Support discharge planning by ensuring patients have the resources they need for continued success post-treatment.
  • Engage with patients across various demographics, including geriatrics and pediatrics, ensuring compassionate care at all times.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication and collaboration with colleagues.

Basic qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to physical therapy practices.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to patient care in physical therapy settings.
  • Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working in skilled nursing facilities or acute care environments.
  • Background in outpatient clinics or orthopedic settings is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience with geriatrics, pediatrics, or discharge planning is a plus.
