Job Title : Medical Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant who will perform medical intake procedures, including taking vital signs and patient history. The role involves recording and reporting symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patients' conditions. You will be responsible for performing phlebotomy, documenting patient care, completing medical prior authorization, and documentation requirements. Collaboration with clinic team members to coordinate patient services and creating a warm, welcoming experience for every patient are key aspects of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct medical intake procedures including vital signs and history.
  • Record and report symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient conditions.
  • Perform phlebotomy.
  • Document patient care efficiently and accurately.
  • Complete medical prior authorization and documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate with clinic team members to coordinate patient services.
  • Create a warm and welcoming experience for every patient.
  • Assist with front desk tasks such as greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling, and verifying insurance information.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in medical assisting and healthcare.
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
  • Certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • CPR certification.
  • Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr.
