ResponsibilitiesI. JOB SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Prepares and performs a variety of CT procedures.
- Provides patient care during procedures.II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- Essential : standing, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting, pushing / pulling maximum weight of 50 pounds of force, carrying usual weight of 25 pounds.
- Continuous : reaching at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm / hand motions, frequent gripping of an object.
- Frequent : stooping / bending, lifting weight up to maximum weight of 50 pounds, carrying usual weight of 50 pounds, reaching above shoulder level, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
- Occasional : kneeling, squatting, twisting body.
- Operates CT scanner, injectors, interventional equipment, CT display consoles, computer, telephone, printer.III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS :
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
- Exposed to communicable diseases.IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : A. EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE :
- Current Hawaii state license as Radiologic Technologist.
- Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.).
- Current BLS / HCP certification.B. EXPERIENCE :
- Two (2) years experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care facility;OR
- One (1) year experience in Radiologic Special Procedures.
- CT experience preferred.
- Experience to demonstrate : o In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively communicate with the Medical Staff. o Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
