JOB PURPOSE
Perform a variety of repairs and maintenance (predictive and preventive and regular) on all our
Plant equipment while troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Familiar with Health and Safety codes, regulations and procedures.
- Responsible for assembling, installing, aligning, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, inspecting,
dismantling of machinery and equipment.
Familiar with rigging, hoisting and fitting practices.Servicing of prime motors, PLC, programmable controller, shaft, couplings, seals, chains, belt drivesystems, gear systems, pneumatic and vacuum systems, and lubrication and cooling systems.
Familiar with the Canadian Electrical Code, CSA / ASTM / ANSI codesCapable of reading mechanical, electrical and machine drawings and understanding the requirements ofmanufacturer's maintenance manuals.
Familiar with the preparation and implementation of maintenance work schedules.Knowledge of the following :Programming / Troubleshooting of PLC and programmable controllersAC and DC drives and motor, generators control systemsHands on repair, calibration of pneumatics and hydraulic experienceKnowledge of Arc welding and brazingForklift certificationUsage of equipment and hand toolsUsage of precision toolsRegular up keep of equipment.Familiar with relevant market products and equipmentUnderstanding of Safety and ISO 9001 : 2000 Quality Management System requirementsPerform related duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
Education : Minimum requirements High School or Technical School.A valid electrician millwright license.
