What You'll Do : Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior, remaining observant to changes in the environment. Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and / or unusual occurrences according to site-specific protocols. Control access to restricted areas and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry within the healthcare location. Assist with visitor and staff directions, information, and / or escorts as needed, maintaining a professional presence at all times. Support emergency response efforts, including fire alarms, medical emergencies, and other incidents, by following established procedures and working in coordination with on-site staff and first responders. Minimum Requirements : At least six months of security-related experience is required. Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client. A guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
