Business Intelligence Analyst

A client of Insight Global is seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented Reporting & Automation Analyst to own and evolve our reporting infrastructure for a SaaS-based yard management platform. In this position, youll play a critical role in maintaining our reporting architecture, building scalable data models, optimizing SQL queries, and enhancing Power BI reports integrated with PostgreSQL and Power Automate workflows. This role ensures that report recipients receive timely, accurate, and actionable reporting.

Compensation :

$107,000 to $115,000 per year annual salary.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred; business degree with strong technical experience also considered.
• 5+ years of combined experience in BI development, data analytics, reporting, or data engineering.
• Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL preferred), including query optimization, functions, and views.
• Advanced Power BI skills, including developing and managing Power BI datasets.
• Experience building and maintaining Power Automate workflows, including API integration and multi-connector orchestration.
• Familiarity with secure practices and configuration in Power Platform.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Delta tables, and medallion architecture concepts.
• Understanding of secure practices and configurations in the Power Platform and Azure environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to document and explain technical systems to non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in a supply chain logistics and / or yard management operations SaaS product environment.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and Azure cloud services.
• Exposure to Azure Data Factory, dbt, and data lakehouse environments.
• Familiarity with Power Platform governance and licensing.
