Salary : $18-25 / hour

Job Summary :

At Goforth Electric, the Shop Hand plays a critical role in bridging our field operations and back-office support. This position is far more than warehouse supportits about ensuring our teams have the right materials, tools, and processes in place to deliver projects efficiently, safely, and on time.

The Shop Hand will take ownership of organizing, maintaining, and improving warehouse and tool management systems. This role will directly influence the way our field crews work day-to-day and will create the foundation for long-term efficiency and growth across the company.

What You'll Do :

As a Shop Hand at Goforth Electric, youre not just warehouse supportyoure the backbone of our field operations.

  • Manage shipping / receiving and make sure materials are exactly where they need to be, when they need to be there.
  • Partner with our field crews to anticipate needs, streamline workflows, and minimize downtime.
  • Champion safety and preventative maintenance standards for tools, trucks, and warehouse operations.
  • Work with vendors, coordinate returns, and set the stage for future procurement opportunities.
  • Maintain and track tools, ensuring theyre safe, functional, and ready for the field.
  • Keep our warehouse and tool systems sharp, organized, and running like clockwork.

    What We're Looking For

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven.
  • Strong communicator across vendors, office staff, and field crews.
  • Problem solver who doesnt just spot issuesproposes solutions.
  • Comfortable with technology (Excel, tool tracking software a plus).
  • Physically able to handle warehouse tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs).
  • Valid drivers license required.

    This role is designed for growth. Successful Shop Hands will have opportunities to advance into :

  • Warehouse Management leading material and tool operations.
  • Procurement managing companywide purchasing and vendor partnerships.

    • Minimum Qualification Standards :

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be physically able to lift / move up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with tool tracking software a plus.
  • Valid drivers license required.
  • Positive communication and customer service skills.
