C-130J Test Pilot
You will be a C-130J Test Pilot for the C-130 Flight Operations team. Our team is responsible for conducting acceptance check flights of newly assembled C-130J aircraft and flight test of modified aircraft. We are where the "Rubber meets the Road" for all new C-130J aircraft and capabilities coming out of our Marietta plant.
As the Test Pilot your responsibilities will include :
- Plan, develop, and execute experimental test flights on C-130J, C-5M, and other AMMM aircraft to verify airworthiness, determine performance capability, validate and verify spec compliance, and assess operational suitability
- Conduct engineering ground and flight tests
- Conduct production acceptance and functional check flights on new or modified aircraft
- Pilot AMMM aircraft on delivery and ferry flights
- Pilot AMMM aircraft on airshow demonstrations
- Conduct demonstration flights with customers, government officials, or media representative to exhibit performance, flying qualities and system capabilities
- Provide experimental test pilot input to flight test, production, engineering, training, customer support, advanced development and business development teams
- Define requirements and develop Statement of Work for AMMM aircraft testing, production acceptance, training, and engineering design support
- Develop and review ground and flight test plans
- Conduct safety reviews, first flight readiness reviews and design reviews
- Develop temporary operating procedures and aircraft operating limitations for flight test programs
- Review, validate, verify, and update aircraft flight manuals
- Provide classroom, simulator, and flight instruction for company and customer aircrew
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications :
Military Test Pilot School (TPS) graduate from a US DOD-approved schoolPilot with at least 1500 hours Pilot-In-Command (PIC) time in multiengine aircraft100 hours PIC during engineering and / or acceptance flights in multiengine transport type aircraftExperimental flight test experienceFAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificateCurrent or formerly qualified military Instructor PilotCurrent FAA Second Class or First Class medical or able to obtain within 30 days of hiringSecret Security ClearanceDesired Skills :
