DRMP's Accounting Team is seeking a Project Accountant to join their growing division. If you're great with numbers - that's the first step. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can combine their love of numbers with strong attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task / prioritize the needs of multiple Engineers / Project Managers.

  • You will be responsible for all aspects of project accounting.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

  • Set up new projects and manage monthly revenue recognition
  • Compile and analyze project financial reports to assist Project Managers (PMs) in achieving profitability goals.
  • Coordinate with PMs on monthly project reviews, including but not limited to accurate revenue recognition, billing, budgeting, Estimates to Complete (ETCs), and accounts receivable (AR).
  • Verify employee time and expenses for accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and billing policies.
  • Maintain project-related documentation in Deltek Vision, including contracts, supplemental agreements, task orders, and other key records.
  • Conduct contract review and support contract management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate effectively with PMs regarding contract terms, modifications, approvals, and additional services impacting revenue and billing.
  • Collaborate with PMs, clients, subconsultants, and internal departments to ensure timely invoicing, payments, and responses to financial or contractual inquiries
  • Perform additional tasks and assignments as directed by the Director and / or Project Accounting Manager.
  • What you'll need

  • 3+  years of professional experience in Project Accounting.
  • Experience working with a construction, engineering firm or within Transportation.
  • Deltek Vision / VantagePoint experience.
  • Solid computer skills with experience in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills, writing, and verbal communication skills (are a must).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (preferred).
