American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring strong PICU and CVICU experience with current WI or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in a 21-bed Pediatric ICU within a hospital settingPatient population includes critically ill or injured children with both medical and surgical needs including cardiac, neurologic, pulmonary, organ transplant, and ECMO casesRequires care for cardiac stepdown and telemetry patientsUses Epic EMR system and telemetry monitoring equipmentNight shifts scheduled as 3x12 hours per week from 7 : 00pm to 7 : 30am, with every other weekend and some holidays requiredTravelers are the first to float and may be assigned to multiple units or locations as neededProvide comprehensive, family-centered care for pediatric patients with complex critical needsWork as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team in a Magnet-designated, state-of-the-art hospitalTele-exam must be passed within two attempts or remedial training is required before a thirdHoliday rotation is required, and specific time off requests are reviewed by managementFirst-time travelers may be accepted in some unitsOrientation schedule varies and typically lasts about one weekParking on-site requires a permit; alternative transportation options are available\n \n Requirements\n
Active Wisconsin or compact RN license in hand at time of considerationCurrent BLS and PALS certifications from American Heart Association requiredMinimum of two years PICU acute care experience within the last three years requiredPrevious CVICU and cardiac step down experience requiredBasic arrhythmia and telemetry skills requiredMust pass a telemetry exam prior to start with strict pass / fail criteriaEpic EMR experience required within the past 12 months preferredBachelor's degree in nursing preferredPermanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facilityLocals are not accepted\n Benefits\n
