Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with a valid CO or compact license for a Med Surg / Emergency Department day shift position requiring spine / ortho post-op and med / surg experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a critical access hospital in a combined Med Surg and Emergency Department setting
  • Provides care to adult and pediatric patients including spine / ortho post-op cases
  • Patient ratio is 1 : 5
  • Day shift schedule
  • Assignment length is 8 weeks
  • Use of various modalities such as ACU, emergency, med-surg (adult, ortho, peds)
  • Must be willing to work all holidays with no holiday request off
  • Position is not open to local travelers; primary residence must be at least 65 miles from the facility
  • Must be comfortable working with both Med Surg and Emergency Department patient populations
  • Possible shared housing is available in a 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment; absolutely no pets or smoking allowed
  • Rent will be paid for provided housing
  • Must be available to work all scheduled holidays

  • Active, unrestricted CO or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 4 years RN experience required
  • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS / BCLS, PALS, and TNCC are required
  • Prior experience with spine / ortho post-op and med / surg patients is required
  • COVID vaccination required per state mandate
