Retail Cosmetics Sales Beauty Advisor, Fashion Valley - Flex

Base pay range : $17.25 / hr - $23.10 / hr

Job Overview

As a Cosmetic Sales Flex Colleague - also known as a Beauty Advisor Flex - you are the trusted expert our customers turn to for all things beauty. Passionate about both products and people, you play a key role in creating a personalized and inspiring shopping experience that builds confidence and drives sales.

Responsibilities

  • Act as educator and beauty expert — offer expert advice, conduct product demonstrations, and provide tailored consultations that may include makeup application and skincare recommendations.
  • Build lasting client relationships through proactive follow-up, virtual outreach, and personalized service with the goal of exceeding expectations and achieving sales goals.
  • Create a welcoming shopping experience by greeting customers, maintaining an organized sales floor, staying informed on new arrivals and promotions, and engaging customers with knowledgeable guidance.
  • Introduce customers to new items and innovations aligned with their needs and style.
  • Maintain a shoppable space, recover floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves.
  • Promote loyalty programs and ensure customers have what they need, ending interactions with a sincere thank-you and personalized service.
  • Support a collaborative team environment through honesty, care, and shared goals to deliver strong store results.
  • Strive to meet and surpass daily sales goals through exceptional service and product knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays, with dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Read and understand employment policies and safety rules / procedures in English.
  • At least 1 year of customer service or selling experience required.
  • Deliver personalized beauty experiences by building relationships, uncovering needs, demonstrating product application, and educating customers on benefits and usage of beauty products.
  • Ability to acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
  • Ability to use point-of-sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the shopping experience.

    • Essential Physical Requirements

  • Talking, lifting, constant movement, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
  • Standing for extended periods, lifting at least 25 lbs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching above eye level.
  • Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Frequent use of computers and handheld equipment for transactions and job functions.
