Responsible for preparation, set-up, start-up and operation of manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities also include ensuring that jobs meet quality specifications, manufacturing standards and ensuring that safety procedures are followed while working to continuously improve quality and productivity of manufacturing operations.

Essential Duties & Functions

• Set-up, operate and troubleshoot equipment to produce parts to specification
• Ensure maximum efficiency of set-up to include set-up time, materials, production rate and material consumption
• Machine readiness inspect machinery, equipment and tooling prior to set-up
• Identify issues that adversely affect product requirements and communicate with appropriate department personnel for resolution
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning
• Identify nonconforming materials / products and work with shift leader for resolution
• Ensure parts produced meet established quality standards
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices
• Complete all shift documentation / paperwork
• Shift hand-off review job status’ and provide updates to incoming shift
• React with urgency to equipment downtime or other extraordinary conditions, and notify supervision whenever such conditions occur
