Utility Maintenance Technician III - Water Distribution
Lead crew in the maintenance and construction of the City's water distribution and water transmission main lines. Complete service request assigned to their crew issued by the Field Supervisor. Daily, effective communication with all level of the department. Make assessment and decision to perform an adjustment in the field or on an assigned project. Document and relay messages, orders and information to personnel, customer and management. Complete all required paperwork as required. Will be required to be on standby to respond to emergencies as scheduled. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and / or job requirements. Works the assigned schedule and complies with the City's timekeeping and attendance policy.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); four years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record. Position may require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying; kneeling, crouching and bending; pushing, pulling and reaching; and standing for prolonged periods of time. CDL Class B driver's license preferred.
