American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of Siemens and PACS experience and current ARRT MR, ARRT R, and BLS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in adult acute care, ICU, outpatient, and ER / trauma settingsPerform MRI scans on abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, spine, and musculoskeletal regionsUse Siemens MRI equipment and PACS systemAverage daily census of 20 patientsSchedule is a combination of day and night 12-hour shifts including Sundays and some call requirementsBlocked scheduling providedFloats may be required within scope, including to sister facilities within the service linePerform advanced MRI procedures including MR angiogram, MR venography, MRCP, diffusion imaging, gradient echo, multiplanar reconstruction, and post-processing mappingHandle preparation, scanning, and post-processing for diverse patient cases, including trauma and spinal imagingTeam-based environment with the possibility to float across units and facilities as neededPre-start modules including EPIC EMR, infusion pump, and glucometer training are required prior to startCompliance includes 10-15 hours of modules due before the start dateAll labs and drug screening must be completed as directed by compliance rulesTenure policy requires an 18-month break if returning after prior assignmentNo more than 7 days of requested time off permitted during the assignmentNo travel partners accepted\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience as an MRI Technologist, with a full year in the specialty within the last 12 months and no more than a 90-day employment gap in the past yearCurrent ARRT MR, ARRT R, and BLS certifications requiredExperience with Siemens MRI systems and PACS requiredProfessional skills including isolation precautions, contrast media administration, starting peripheral IVs, and specialized imaging proceduresMust hold active unrestricted Kansas and Missouri or compact license at time of consideration if applicable2 references from within the past year, with at least one from a supervisor level or aboveFirst-time travelers acceptedCandidates must live at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted\n Benefits\n
