Responsibilities :

Provide professional nursing care to wound, skin, and ostomy patients. Assesses the patient's skin condition and wound care needs upon admission and weekly; sets goals; recommends appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals. Keep other licensed clinical professionals informed on items related to wound care, ostomies, and incontinence. Monitor and track changes in the client / patient's conditions and needs, and keeps the Director of Nursing and any other appropriate personnel informed.

Requirements :

  • Current unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current CPR / BLS Certification (in-person only)
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray within past year
  • Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility, preferred.
  • WOCN preferred
  • Current and valid Texas Driver's License
  • Current and valid automobile insurance
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
