Summary

As the Lead Engineer, you'll manage the coordination and completion of assigned Research & Development and Product Improvement projects. You'll ensure that projects under your oversight strengthen SkoFlo's standing as the world's premier provider of chemical injection components. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Spearhead technical risk management for parts, products, and processes, while delivering on solutions that showcase innovation and excellence.
  • Mentor and empower engineering staff, fostering a collaborative environment where smart, motivated individuals can thrive and grow their expertise.
  • Serve as the go-to subject matter expert on all relevant industry standards and specifications, guiding the team with cutting-edge knowledge to maintain our competitive edge.
  • Oversee the day-to-day pulse of engineering projects, ensuring seamless progress, scope alignment, and high-impact results.
  • Champion our proven methodologies while enforcing project standards to deliver consistent, top-tier outcomes.
  • Proactively identify and secure the resources that fuel project success.
  • Navigate projects within defined milestones and budgets, optimizing efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Lead and report on Research and Development initiatives, driving breakthroughs that push SkoFlo's boundaries as the world's premier supplier of chemical injection components.
  • Capture lessons learned, craft actionable improvement plans, and implement Corrective Action Reports (CARs) to continuously elevate our performance.
  • Champion end-user requirements, ensuring they're meticulously documented and flawlessly integrated into every solution.
  • Review and refine design models, drawings, ERP Bills of Materials, and production procedures to boost manufacturing efficiency and uphold uncompromising quality standards.
  • Dive deep into customer specifications, industry standards, drawings, tolerance stack-ups, fit studies, and reliability analyses to implement solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Bolster production sustainability by designing robust test systems and swiftly troubleshooting issues to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Model exemplary behavior, professionalism, and collaboration, serving as a role model for team members and colleagues across all levels of the organization.
  • Propose bold improvements to products, manufacturing methods, and testing protocols, sparking innovation at every level.

  • Strengthen relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and partners to optimize supply chains and co-develop advanced chemical injection solutions.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 10 plus years of experience in highly regulated product design. Experience in project management and / or an MSME degree would be a plus.
  • Knowledge or understanding of petrochemical (or similar regulated industry) practices and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and comply with detailed product specifications.
  • Experience in refining product knowledge, improving product value, and methodical testing and data collection.
  • Experience with quality critical engineering-based operations desired.
  • Experience and knowledge of Lean and driving continuous improvements is a plus.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 facility a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work hands-on with PLCs, mechanical systems, and fluid power is a plus.

  • Equipment and Software Skills

  • AutoDesk Inventor or SolidWorks, preferably in a controlled vault environment.
  • FEA and / or fluid dynamics simulation experience is a big plus.
  • Certificates and Licenses

    WA state PE license would be a plus.
