Travel Endoscopy Technician – Days

Location : Concord, MA

Start Date : 11 / 17

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Days – 6 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, Monday–Friday, 40 hours / week

Weekend Call : Rotational, approximately every 4th weekend (48 hours over Sat–Sun)

Weekday Call : Overnight once a week, rotational

Holiday Call : Rotational

On Call : Required per schedule

Position Overview

HumanEdge is seeking a skilled Travel Endoscopy Technician for a 13-week assignment in Concord, Massachusetts . The Endoscopy Technician supports diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology procedures, ensures the quality and safety of endoscopic equipment, and provides technical assistance during procedures under the direction of the gastroenterologist.

Responsibilities

Prepare instrumentation, supplies, and equipment for procedures per gastroenterologist preference

Set up cases in procedure rooms according to schedule

Anticipate physician needs during procedures

Prepare and properly label specimens

Break down cases post-procedure and manually clean scopes per policy

Prepare contaminated instrumentation for decontamination and high-level disinfection

Perform terminal sterilization and quality assurance of endoscopic equipment and scope washers

Troubleshoot scope washer and endoscopic equipment issues

Assist in procedure room turnover, including cleaning and restocking

Perform basic procedural cart setup at end of day

Transport equipment and set up cases outside of the Endoscopy Unit as needed

Maintain inventory, order supplies, and restock rooms and supply closets

Collaborate with healthcare professionals and report equipment issues to the Charge Nurse

Participate in on-call rotation, continuing education, and unit projects to improve patient care

Serve as a resource regarding endoscopy equipment and procedures

Maintain patient rights, privacy, and safety during procedures

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent – Preferred

Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program – Strongly preferred

Sterile processing training – Strongly preferred

BLS Certification – Required

Certification from IAHCSMM or CBSPD, and SGNA – Preferred

Minimum experience in endoscopy or surgical / sterile processing – Required

Ability to work 10-hour days, rotational weekends, weekday and holiday call
