Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced in both CT Scan and X-Ray, with ARRT and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

  • Position covers both CT Scan and X-Ray modalities
  • Work setting includes adolescent to geriatric patient populations, with infants and pediatrics seen rarely
  • Average caseload is 15-20 CT scans and 20-30 X-rays per 24-hour period, with lower volumes at night
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday, day shift from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, with every other weekend required
  • Floating is required between CT and X-Ray as needed
  • No call requirements
  • Uses Epic EMR and Fuji PACS systems
  • Candidates must be prepared to work major holidays per assignment guidelines
  • Scrub color required is Caribbean Blue
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position
  • Maximum of 7 days requested time off permitted, not allowed during the first week
  • Full compliance is required to start on time, with delays resulting in a two-week orientation reschedule
  • Returning employees must have been away from all facilities for at least one year before returning as a traveler
  • Travel pairs may not be assigned the same shift on the same unit
  • No blocked scheduling is permitted
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Tech
  • Current ARRT and BLS certifications required
  • Experience working with adolescent to geriatric patients
  • Ability to float between CT and X-Ray as required
  • Experience with Epic and Fuji PACS preferred
  • License required if applicable
