Sr. Accountant

Senior Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the VP of Accounting to manage vital financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong analytical skills, and have a desire to grow professionally within our organization.

Responsibilities :

Prepare and analyze monthly and year-end financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Maintain and reconcile financial records, including balance sheets and journal entries, to support accurate reporting.

Collaborate with the Operations and Distribution Center teams to create and present inventory analysis.

Monitor and evaluate monthly expenses by preparing budget-to-actual performance reports.

Assist in developing cash flow projections, budgets, and forecasts to support organizational planning.

Support the annual external audit process by providing required documentation and analysis.

Utilize QuickBooks to manage general ledger activities and ensure accurate financial data.

Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting operations and implement solutions.

Requirements :

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with accounting emphasis.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or auditing roles.

Proficiency in QuickBooks and general ledger management.

Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation processes.

Ability to analyze and interpret inventory data to support operational decisions.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Experience in retail accounting is a plus.
