Job description

Associate Director, Gift Processing

Oversees, directs, and maintains all aspects of donation processing while providing customer service. Acts as a liaison between departments, faculty, staff, students, and external entities to ensure continuity and quality of customer service between University departments and community, fostering cooperative relationships and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Responsibilities :

  • Monitors and supports day-to-day activities of the gift processing team, ensuring that processes are occurring within set timeline.
  • Ability to understand and interpret department policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and produces reports related to historical giving summaries.
  • Manages the Gift Services Financial Analyst, ensuring accurate pledge tracking and monthly reporting.
  • Ensures compliance of major gifts including coordinating reporting as necessary.
  • Implements and administers new and existing department programs and services to internal and external customers.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by analyzing customer complaints, concerns, and suggestions. Provides appropriate follow-through to ensure quality customer service.
  • Facilitates cooperative and collaborative relationships with supporting organizations.

  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration, a related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required; plus six years of progressively more responsible management experience; and demonstrated leadership, human relations, and effective communication skills also required.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or related area preferred.
  • Preferences :

  • Familiar with fundraising concepts and terminology.
  • Familiar with IRS regulations as they relate to charitable donations.
  • Experience working with CRMs.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office, particularly, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
