Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab Travel Position

Location : Key West, FL

Job Type : Travel Contract

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 4×10 Days

Pay : $2,492 / week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Key West, FL. The Cath Lab RN will provide specialized care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care in a high-acuity procedural environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status throughout procedures.
  • Administer prescribed medications, sedation, and other therapies as required.
  • Assist physicians and the Cath Lab team during procedures, maintaining a sterile and safe environment.
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in compliance with facility protocols.
  • Provide patient and family education about procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Florida or a compact state.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab nursing experience (travel experience preferred).
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (additional facility-required certifications as applicable).
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test.
  • Strong critical-thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
  • Ability to excel in a high-acuity, fast-paced procedural environment.
