Experience :

• Minimum of 1 year of CVOR experience required.
• Previous charge experience preferred.

License :

Permanent license required.

Certifications :

ACLS

BLS

PALS (preferred)

RNFA (preferred)

CNOR (preferred)

Must-Have :

Proficiency in all open-heart cases, including valves and bypass.

Comfort with circulating all vascular cases, including hybrid cases.

Ability to set up all lines and drips required by anesthesia assistance.

Description :

The position requires proficiency in open-heart surgery and comfort with various vascular procedures.

Nurses will provide support in other cases when not performing CVOR duties.

Shifts will consist of four 10-hour workdays.

Rotating weekday night and weekend call will be part of the schedule.

Weekend call includes Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

The on-call schedule requires commitment to one day of call during the week and every fourth or fifth weekend.

CVOR nurses will back up general nurses on call and vice versa.

The patient age groups range from neonates to geriatrics.

The unit has an average daily census of 45 patients with 18 operating rooms.

Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, and pharmacy.
