About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Operating Room (OR) Circulator RN to join the dynamic surgical team in beautiful Kauai, Hawaii . This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled perioperative nurse looking to advance their career in a supportive, community-focused hospital setting while enjoying island life. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Circulate and assist in various surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning throughout the surgical process.
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR .
  • Participate in pre-op and post-anesthesia care coordination as needed.
  • Complete hospital orientation, unit orientation, and competency binder as required.

    • Qualifications

  • Active Hawaii RN License (required)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
  • Experience circulating in a variety of surgical cases (general, ortho, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Cerner EMR
  • Must be able to commit to 80 hours per pay period
  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and teamwork skills

  • Contract Duration : 13 weeks
  • Holiday Coverage : Required (holiday pay based on hours worked)
  • Orientation : Includes HR / in-service onboarding and 1–2 day and night shifts with staff preceptors
  • Facility Size : Under 50 beds
