Job description

Staff Accountant

Provides Finance management with transactional and reconciliatory support while aiding in all other areas of the Finance Department.

Responsibilities

  • Provide transactional support to the Finance Department.
  • Assist with general ledger management and reconciliations.
  • Perform month-end close processes and journal entries.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and balance sheets.
  • Support financial reporting and fixed asset management.
  • Utilize Excel for data manipulation and analysis.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including V-Lookup, IF, SUMIF, Index, Match, and Pivot Table.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows products and ERP platforms.
  • Strong understanding of project accounting, accruals, prepaids, and financial statements.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional work ethic and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

    • Work Environment

    This is an in-office position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The role offers an opportunity to join a growing team within a dynamic construction company, providing room for professional growth.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Permanent position based out of East Hartford, Connecticut.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $66000.00 - $99000.00 / yr.

    Benefits will be provided once a decision is made and an offer is out.

    Workplace Type

    This is a fully onsite position in Auburn, MA.
