We are seeking a skilled Electrical Transformer Technician to join our team. In this role, you will create complex components by aligning materials and connecting parts. The ideal candidate has the ability to read and follow schematics, technical knowledge, and excellent manual dexterity.

This role involves performing hands-on mechanical and electrical assembly of medium- and high-voltage transformers , ensuring quality and safety at every stage. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in transformer or machinery assembly, the ability to follow technical instructions, and a strong commitment to teamwork and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform activities assigned by the Operations Manager.
  • Perform activities related to transformer assembly.
  • Perform activities related to transformer testing.

Location : Houston, TX (Must be local and willing to travel)

Job Type : Full-Time

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills :

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certification or diploma from a technical school is preferred but not required
  • Previous experience as an assembler or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Assembling transformer components : This involves inserting and attaching parts such as insulation panels, metal covers, and base plates.
  • Using equipment : Transformers assemblers operate steel-cutting equipment and overhead cranes to prepare materials for assembly.
  • Reading and interpreting instructions : They must read wiring schematics and written instructions to ensure proper assembly.
  • Performing mechanical operations : This includes tanking and wiring transformers, as well as lifting materials.
  • Using tools such as saws, grinders, drill presses, etc., safely and with efficiency
  • Working under pressure
  • Good attitude.
  • Level of Experience

  • At least 1 year of experience working in transformer assembly.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in equipment or machinery assembly.
