FT Campus Cashier
Montgomery College has an immediate need for a full-time campus cashier in the Rockville cashier office. The work schedule is Monday Friday, 8 : 30 a.m. to 5 p.m.. This is a bargaining, non-exempt, grade 17 position. For non-exempt positions, you are not eligible to work a secondary job at Montgomery College. Based on the departmental needs, this position may require working on any of the four campuses, and include Saturday hours during peak enrollment periods. This position provides on-site cashiering and related financial services to students, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities include accepting payments for tuition, loans, or services provided by the college, responding to general questions regarding account information, or resolving standard customer service issues. Due to the cash handling responsibilities of the position, the work is highly structured with little to no deviation, and with strict adherence to college policy and established unit procedures to safeguard college revenue. Incumbents interact daily with students, staff, and the general public. Campus Cashiers also assist a high volume of customers at the beginning of each semester, which continually creates a fast-pace, high stress environment, and they are required to process each transaction expediently and accurately. Incumbents use independent judgment in prioritizing basic tasks and refer unusual and nonstandard matters to the Account Receivable manager.

Hiring Range : $20.84-$26.05 annually. Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range and is based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity. The maximum salary for this position is $31.27.
