Your Role

As a Product Line Purchasing Intern within Aptiv's Advanced Safety & User Experience team, you will gain hands-on experience in the procurement process for cutting-edge automotive technologies. You will work alongside industry professionals to support the purchasing activities for components and services that are integral to advanced safety systems and user experience innovations. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the intersection of supply chain management and advanced automotive technology.

What You'll Do :

• Assist the Purchasing team in sourcing and procuring materials and services for Advanced Safety & User Experience products.
• Support supplier relationship management by tracking performance metrics, conducting price negotiations, and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product development, to understand project requirements and ensure timely procurement of necessary components.
• Analyze market trends, pricing strategies, and supply chain risks to support the development of cost-effective purchasing solutions.
• Help maintain accurate purchasing documentation, contracts, and records within Aptiv's procurement systems.
• Participate in supplier meetings, strategy sessions, and negotiations to gain exposure to the procurement process.
• Assist in identifying and onboarding new suppliers to support Aptiv's innovation and growth initiatives.
