3D Modeler / Graphic Artist Job at Tech Wizards in Virginia

Desired Candidate Qualities :

Team-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities :

Use modeling software and artistic skill to create, maintain, and update 3D models

Create realistic virtual characters, environment, and props from verbal descriptions or reference images

Create appropriate textures and UV maps for models

Integrate 3D models and graphical assets from modeling software into game engine projects

Follow design guidelines, asset naming conventions, and other technical constraints

Prototype and iterate on graphics, user interfaces, models and characters based on feedback from team members

Work with artists, animators, and programmers to execute projects on time

Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in 3D design, capture and modeling tools and technologies

Education :

A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Graphic Design, Multimedia Art, 3D Modeling and Animation, or Game Design

Requirements and Expectations :

US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

At least 2-4 years of experience with 3D design and modeling software such as Blender or similar modeling software

Proficiency in graphic, photo, and video editing using the Adobe Suite

Familiarity integrating models and graphical assets into Unity3D or similar game engines

Extensive knowledge of character and model design, rigging, skinning, etc.

Ability to learn and adapt to new workflows and methods

Ability to take feedback and make changes as required

Updated portfolio of previous work
