Job Title : Diesel Fleet Mechanic
We are seeking an experienced diesel fleet mechanic to join our team. As a diesel fleet mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, refrigeration units, converter dollies, and maintenance vehicles.
Key Responsibilities :
Complete preventative maintenance on minor repairs and standard component inspections / repairs of fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units)
Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition
Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to being deemed as roadworthy
Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
Install, replace, and repair onboard computers
Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists
Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
Required Skills and Qualifications :
High School Diploma / GED or Equivalent
5-7 Years of Experience in Medium to Heavy-Duty Vehicle Repair
Proven experience in A / C Refrigeration
