Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a 13-week travel assignment in St Francis, Kansas. One year of recent experience as a CRNA
Valid RN license in compliance with State regulations
Valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (ARPN) license with CRNA designation in accordance with state regulations
Master’s Degree or higher in an accredited Nurse Anesthesia educational program
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are advanced practice nurses with specialized training in delivering anesthesia and related care. They provide critical support across a variety of healthcare settings by conducting detailed preoperative assessments, developing individualized anesthesia plans, and managing patient care before, during, and after procedures. They work independently or as part of an interdisciplinary team, playing an essential role in pain management, critical care response, and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic testing
Create personalized anesthesia plans tailored to each patient's needs and the specifics of their procedure
Administer various types of anesthesia, including general, regional, local, and monitored anesthesia care, using appropriate techniques and equipment
Monitor and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary to maintain optimal sedation and pain control
Respond to anesthesia-related emergencies, such as airway obstructions or cardiovascular instability
Oversee patient recovery from anesthesia, monitoring for any delayed reactions or complications
Educate patients and families on anesthesia procedures, postoperative care, and potential side effects of anesthesia
Maintain detailed records of anesthesia care, including medications administered and patient responses
Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and national standards for anesthesia practice
The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
Technical / Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push / pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and / or using department equipment
Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Sensory - Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
