Job Description : Locum General Surgeon

Credentialing Timeframe : 90 days

Start Date : As soon as credentialed - ongoing

Position Type : Locum

Shift : 24-hour hospital on-call shift, 8 : 00 AM - 8 : 00 AM

Position Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Locum General Surgeon to join our progressive healthcare team. This position offers the opportunity to perform a wide range of surgical procedures in a supportive and challenging environment. As a member of our surgical team, the successful candidate will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. This is a great opportunity for a surgeon looking to expand their career while contributing to a compassionate and efficient healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide general surgery services, including both adult and pediatric care (trauma preferred).
• Perform laparoscopic surgeries, including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernioplasty (required).
• Perform head / neck surgeries (required).
• Conduct chest wall / pleural procedures (required).
• Breast surgery (preferred).
• Liver surgery (preferred).
• Perform GI endoscopy (upper and lower) (required).
• Perform chest tube insertion (preferred).
• Perform central line insertion (preferred).
• Perform PA catheter placement (preferred).

Certifications Required :

Licensing Requirements :

Must be WI licensed or eligible through IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact).
