At Mahaska Health a Sleep Lab Apprentice will gain hands-on experience working alongside a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) in a clinical sleep lab setting. This entry-level, part-time position is designed for individuals pursuing a career in sleep medicine.Apprentices will work 8 to 16 hours per week, shadowing and assisting an RPSGT during to learn the fundamentals of sleep study procedures, patient care, and data acquisition.

Key Benefits :

• On-the-job training under the direct supervision of a registered sleep technologist. Independent work is not expected or allowed until certification is achieved.
• Online sleep school tuition is fully covered to support your path toward becoming a certified RPSGT. Schooling is to be completed in 1 year of time and successfully passing the Certification requirement for state licensing with the intention of becoming a registered polysomnographic technologist in 3 years’ time.
