Title : Marketing & Sales Internship (Credit available if approved by department)

Where : Alex Rabb State Farm

Internship Dates : TBD

(Average 15hr per week)

Description :

Our interns will help brainstorm, plan, and execute a marketing plan to assist in growing market share. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in events such as festivals, fairs, and expos in the Madison Area as wells as numerous networking opportunities.

You will be helping spread the word about our products, interviewing customers and developing our public social media presence. Your work will have a meaningful impact on our marketing team. You will get an opportunity to learn from excellent b2b marketers and brand builders.

You will be engaged in market research in the insurance industry to strengthen our sales efforts.

You will be sponsored for a State License for Property and Casualty Insurance.

Interns will be trained and have a chance to demonstrate skills in internal and external marketing techniques including :

  • Implements marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing sales forecasts; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; updating calendars.
  • Assist marketing managers and analyze the success of marketing campaigns and advertisements.
  • Work with the market research team to develop case studies, templates, and customer appreciation letters and interpret customer purchasing statistics.
  • Help manage online marketing campaigns and publish write ups on social networking websites.
  • Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.
  • Liaison / relationship manager with various outside entities and clients as related to meetings and events.

  • Representation at corporate events
