Sr. Corporate Strategy Manager

The Pokmon Company International, a subsidiary of The Pokmon Company in Japan, manages the property outside of Asia and is responsible for brand management, licensing, marketing, the Pokmon Trading Card Game, the animated TV series, home entertainment, and the official Pokmon website. Pokmon was launched in Japan in 1996 and today is one of the most popular childrens entertainment properties in the world.

Were seeking a highly strategic, forward-thinking individual to join our President and Corporate Development team. This role is ideal for someone who can think ahead while staying grounded in executionsomeone who thrives in planning yet knows how to move things forward amidst day-to-day complexity.

Youll play a key role in supporting executives and cross-functional teams by providing thought partnership, research, analysis, and structured project management. From mid- to long-term strategic planning to near-term execution support, youll help keep priorities aligned, progress visible, and actions moving. This role is essential for ensuring our strategic agenda stays not only visionary, but operationally executable in a fast-moving, ever-shifting environment.

Strategic & Mid-Term Planning : Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support executives in developing, refining, and tracking strategic roadmapsspanning both mid- and long-term horizons.

Execution Support & Project Management : Drive day-to-day coordination of strategic projects, ensuring timely execution, stakeholder alignment, and accountability for deliverables.

Corporate Scorecard Ownership : Design and manage the corporate scorecard to monitor the progress of strategic goals across the organization.

Operational Reporting : Lead the preparation of monthly operational reports that synthesize progress across product pillars and business units for executive and leadership teams.

Executive Engagement : Prepare presentations and materials for executive meetings to support informed decisions; coordinate follow-ups and track action items.

Research & Analysis : Conduct rigorous research and strategic analyses to support planning decisions and evolving business needs.

Cross-Functional Influence : Build trusted partnerships across teams, connect insights across teams, and influence leaders without authority to ensure shared strategic alignment.

12+ years of professional experience, including 8+ years in corporate strategy, strategic planning, management consulting, or a related field.

3+ years of experience working within an operating company, with a proven ability to translate strategic plans into real-world execution.

Demonstrated success in dynamic, cross-cultural, and fast-paced environments.

Exceptional communicatorboth written and verbalwith a strong ability to craft strategic narratives and develop engaging, human-centered presentations that drive alignment, influence stakeholders, and serve as effective tools for storytelling and change management.

Exceptional at juggling multiple projects without losing focus, with a sharp eye for detail and follow-through.

Adept at balancing logical thinking with practical considerationsgrounding big ideas in real-world feasibility.

Strong critical thinking and multi-perspective analysisable to understand implications across business, people, and operational dimensions.

Team-first mindset, grounded in humility and a strong sense of shared purpose; receptive to feedback, adaptable to shifting priorities, and able to stay focused and effective in the face of ambiguity and change.

Fast learner, intellectually curious, and energized by new challenges.

Fluency in Japanese is a strong plus, but not required.

Bachelors degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of expertise.

The full range is $128,000.00 - $235,000.00 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidates qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
