Primary Job function :

Set-up and run powder coat line, coating a variety of parts to cosmetic standards and Q-chips. Creates quality color chips for production controls based on manufacturer, color and texture of surface. Manages powder inventory. Supervises powder coat helpers to a certain degree. Advises for proper surface finishes as needed to achieve powder coat cosmetics. Performs other duties as assigned.

Note : This position operates on Day Shift (6 : 00am - 2 : 30pm)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Follows department standard operating procedures.
• Directing the loading carriers of parts to and from phosphate line for cleaning;
• Racking / un-racking, and masking / un-masking parts on the powder line
• Powder coat all parts with powder equipment
• Managing parts and equipment through the baking / curing cycle
• Finishes parts as directed.
• Inspects product to cosmetic standards as each step of the process is completed.
• Loads / unloads materials, parts or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyor, or trucks, either manually or using a hoist.
• Follows established safety protocols including required usage of PPE; helps to maintain a safe working environment.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
