Job Description & Requirements Specialty : MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 15 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Local Contract Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (MICU RN) We are seeking an experienced MICU RN to join our Medical ICU team in a high acuity, fast paced environment. The MICU RN provides continuous, specialized care for critically ill medical patients, including respiratory failure, sepsis, multi organ dysfunction, and complex chronic disease exacerbations. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive assessments and manage critically ill medical patients with rapidly changing conditions Monitor and manage ventilators, noninvasive respiratory support, and airway emergencies in collaboration with RT and providers Titrate vasoactive and sedation drips, manage invasive lines, and interpret hemodynamic data per protocol Administer medications, blood products, and advanced therapies while coordinating labs, imaging, and procedures Recognize and respond quickly to deterioration, initiating emergency interventions and rapid response as needed Collaborate with intensivists and the interdisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans Support patients and families with education, critical updates, and end of life or complex care discussions Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR Requirements Active RN license (state specific or compact) Minimum 2 years of recent MICU RN experience in the same specialty BLS required; ACLS required Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and advanced cardiac monitoring skills Comfortable with ventilated patients, sepsis protocols, vasoactive drips, and high acuity medical cases Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K offered.
