Job description

Human Resources Business Partner

Amazon is looking for individuals who can think strategically as well as roll up their sleeves and dive deep into practical application. This role requires the ability to establish HR priorities and operating mechanisms to drive change. The candidate must be able to interface with leaders at all levels through excellent communication skills, data-driven analytical thinking, and ability to perform in a fast-paced, rigorous, and ambiguous environment.

This role is both hands-on and strategic, providing human resource leadership in the development and implementation of HR strategies that foster growth, innovation, and organizational effectiveness. The Sr. HRBP must first understand business priorities and translate them into an HR plan that supports the business. They assess capability and needs in leadership & management development, career development, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and talent acquisition, driving appropriate solutions in these areas. The Sr. HRBP partners with Directors to develop and implement strategies that support business agendas, including performance management, organizational effectiveness, talent development, and organization design.

Whether coaching clients on leading their teams, navigating employee relations issues, or developing innovative solutions, the Sr. HRBP serves as the champion of Amazon's culture and values, helping leaders build customer-obsessed teams.

Key job responsibilities :

  • Partner with senior management to champion organizational and people focused initiatives in order to achieve strategic business initiatives and deliver results
  • Partner with business on organizational design, talent management, succession planning, and organizational health
  • Review and analyze business unit data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience
  • Provide management coaching to build leadership capabilities to address and resolve employee issues
  • Plan, manage and provide continuous improvement to all aspects of HR processes including creating mechanisms and owning projects to address organizational opportunities
  • Provide ongoing support to the leadership team on human resources related matters, policies and procedures
