Travel Nursing Job Details

Position Title : Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment

Location : Gadsden, Alabama (35903) – Alabama nursing jobs

Unit : Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg)

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (6 : 45 AM – 7 : 15 PM), every other weekend required

Hours per Week : 36

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks

Start Date : November 24, 2025

End Date : February 23, 2026

Patient Ratio : 6 : 1

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,510 - $1,620 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Compact or Alabama RN license required

BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Ability to work either December 24th or 25th AND either December 31st or January 1st

Must reside at least 50 miles from the healthcare facility

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to medical-surgical patients

Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress in the Med / Surg unit

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Educate patients and families on health management, discharge instructions, and ongoing care

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR

Float to other hospital units as needed to support patient care
